Call for Symposia and Keynote speakers’ proposals

Between 6 and 9 April 2026, the XI SLIMP meeting will be held in Chillán, a well-connected city 400 km south of Santiago, in Chile. We invite members of the Latin American Society for Maternal-Fetal Interaction and Placenta to submit proposals for Keynote speakers, Symposia, and ECR activities to be considered for the scientific program of the meeting. Your contributions will be invaluable in building a solid program that promotes state-of-the-art topics in the field.

Proposals aligned within the following categories will be considered:

  1. Keynote Speakers. Senior Lectures at SLIMP 2026 will feature distinguished researchers presenting high-impact advances in maternal-fetal interaction and placenta research. Proposals should outline a 45-minute talk providing a comprehensive perspective on cutting-edge topics, highlighting key findings, future directions, and interdisciplinary relevance. Speakers should be established experts with a strong track record in the field. While lectures are single-presenter sessions, proposals emphasizing regional or interdisciplinary perspectives are encouraged.
  2. Symposia. Symposia regarding the congress themes detailed below are encouraged. These will last 90 minutes and consist of 3 senior or mid-career speaker presentations, 25 minutes each, with 15 minutes for Q&A. We welcome proposals that involve experts from different disciplines and backgrounds to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and enhance understanding of complex issues related to our thematic areas. Also, we encourage the participation of groups hosted in LATAM institutions.
  3. ECR activities. Proposals of career-building activities by ECRs for ECRs are encouraged.

Submissions must include:

  • Title of the activity
